The much-loved DIV Golf handicap system has gone through several iterations, but I am sure we can now all agree that the system below (from Season V onwards) is fair, and no one can argue against the Super Computer!

20 scorecards - average the best (lowest) 8 scorecards

19 scorecards - average the best (lowest) 7 scorecards

17 to 18 scorecards - average the best (lowest) 6 scorecards

15 to 16 scorecards - average the best (lowest) 5 scorecards

12 to 14 scorecards - average the best (lowest) 4 scorecards

9 to 11 scorecards - average the best (lowest) 3 scorecards

7 to 8 scorecards - average the best (lowest) 2 scorecards

6 scorecards - average the best (lowest) 2 scorecards and adjust the calculated handicap by -1

5 scorecards - take the lowest scorecard only

4 scorecards take the best (lowest) scorecard and adjust the calculated handicap by -1

3 scorecards - take the best (lowest) scorecard and adjust the calculated handicap by -2
