The DIV members met in high spirits at Changi Airport decked out in No. 1’s as is now tradition, albeit with a Havana hat, an outstanding addition by Mr Oliver Brown.
The first night was as expected with a 4am return. Jesus maybe able to walk on water but he certainly can’t open doors!
Panya Indra proved to be a busy course as was Trent’s team buggy which was packed to the rafters with caddy’s, although it certainly did the trick as the ROTW took a 3 point lead into day 2.
It was agreed Saturday night would have a delayed start as the gentlemen stayed in the accommodation, drank and regaled rugger stories and showed each other how to open a door! They then moved onto the Havana club where cocktails were had and they danced to the wee hours. Some of the gentlemen moved on to sample a different type of cocktail!
Sunday morning was most certainly a struggle although Founding Father Richard was most relieved to find his phone and was thankful to Aido (sort of).
Onto the wonderful Nikanti golf course. Everything about it was fantastic although the ROTW could not halt the slump as they won 2 games to 1 winning the beautiful tour trophy (thank you brother Ross).
A four day hangover is never a good thing but it will no doubt help the planning of DIV Tour III at the end of January ‘25
